This is the story of a family with roots in rural Sri Lanka that grew up and spread around the world.……. a story that had itsbeginnings in the rustic environs of Western Sri Lanka, in rural village setting in the coconut groves, paddy fields, the temples and the schools; ……. a story that began with humble village folk toiling in the farms and gradually took in to its fold School Teachers, Buddhist Monks, Shop Keepers, Post Masters and went to enfold Educationists, Engineers, International Civil Servants who spread around the world, ….… a story about the living, the dead and the unborn, who are the inheritors of a great culture that is more than 2500 years old enriched by social customs and value systems influenced by the great religion of Buddhism. It is a chapter in the modern history of SRI LANKA traced through the Weerasinghe Family of Weweldeniya, Sri Lanka.
